Dear Local Vendor,

At the Boise Co-op, LOCAL is at the heart of what we do. We are a community-owned cooperative, and understand the importance of local partnerships. That's why, beginning in June of 2023, The Boise Co-op will be launching the Local Partner Fund!

The Boise Co-op Local Partner Fund is a grant that helps create a healthier community by supporting local vendors through customer Round Up donations at our registers once per year. We focus our support on local food system development, food nutrition & education, environmental sustainability, and community building & inclusion. All customer donations go directly to local vendors who then use those funds to keep healthy, organic, and sustainable food on our shelves.

So what does this mean for you and your business? Well, if you're a local vendor in need of educational funding, farm equipment, or any other business expenditures, we may be able to help! We want to ensure that our community is healthy and sustainable for years to come. So if you’re a local vendor that would like to apply for this initiative simply fill out the form through the link below before June 1st, 2023. Once applications are submitted, our Senior Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and Co-op Crew will vote for our 2023 grant recipients by June 30th.

If you have any questions, please reach out to our Marketing Director, Tyler Schnur at tschnur@boisecoop.com for more information.

City Peanut Shop

City Peanut shop was opened in 2009 during the last Great Recession. Founder, Dan Balluff went nuts and left the tech-world of cubicles and airports to re-imagine the classic peanut shops that were primarily in the Midwest and Coastal regions of America starting in the 1940’s to present day. Since then, City Peanut Shop has become an iconic part of Downtown Boise featured in international blogs, magazines and other media. We have a wide-reaching customer base across the US and beyond who love our hand-crafted, small-batch products.

Boise Farmer’s Market

Boise Farmers Market is a food-centric and agriculturally based market. Within our guidelines, the majority of the members must be agricultural. 95% of the vendors are food and agricultural products with 5% dedicated to non-food items. Farmers markets have a long history of being more than merely a place to exchange goods. The Boise Farmers Market is committed to playing an important role in fostering new ideas in the regional food system. The Farmers Market is a place where the public can learn about the relationship of local food and farms to our health, our economy, and our culture.
