Meet the board
The Board of Directors at the Boise Co-op Market serves as a strategic and visionary body, focused on the long-term success of our cooperative rather than short-term operations. Its primary responsibilities include ensuring sound management, providing financial oversight, and acting as trustees on behalf of the ownership.
The Board sets long-range goals, engages in strategic planning, and plays a key role in shaping the Co-op’s governance by developing policies and guidelines. Additionally, it is responsible for hiring and evaluating the General Manager while also recruiting new directors to maintain a well-qualified leadership team. However, the Board does not make day-to-day operating decisions, select products, or supervise staff beyond the General Manager at the Boise Co-op Market.
