board nominee qualifications
As a Boise Co-op Market Board Director, your role is to uphold and promote the Co-op’s mission, act in the best interest of all Members, and help guide the organization and General Manager with integrity and vision. Directors are expected to understand our bylaws and governance structure, contribute around 10–20 hours per month attending meetings and serving on committees, and continuously assess their own performance to ensure the board remains strong, effective, and rooted in cooperative values.

Application Requirements
Applicants must be Members of the Boise Co-op in good standing for at least 6 months prior to the election, without an overriding conflict of interest with the Boise Co-op Market. Must be able to uphold our Code of Ethics and commit to 10-20 hours per month between meetings and committees.
Once elected, Directors must sign a Statement of Agreement and publicly disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may arise. A conflict of interest is a personal interest that might impair or reasonably appear to impair a Director’s independent, unbiased judgment in the discharge of his or her responsibilities to the Co-op.
