From the Sole Bay Brewery in Southwald, Suffolk, England, this traditional barley-wine is a deep mahogany in color topped with a visible though fleeting lacing. It opens with sweet, dark fruit aromas of raisin and prune, along with notes of cola. The flavors are not as sweet as you’d expect from the nose. You get some toffee, a touch of bitter roast and a prickly alcohol note, while a nuttiness emerges on the long finish. A part of our Beer Aging program, the Tally-Ho has been resting gently for almost two years. You're welcome.
