A great summer wine in a box with a price that works out to five bucks a bottle? Should I mention that it’s made by the Perrin family, the same folks who bring us Beaucastel and Brangelina’s Miraval rosé? Or that a box counts as four towards your six bottle discount? All good to know, but what really matters is what comes out of the box. The grapes aren’t listed on the label, but I’d hazard a guess they include Grenache Blanc, Ugni Blanc and probably Roussanne. The flavors are crisp and clean, with bright citrus and green apple, and a long, refreshing finish. Nothing too complex, but just the thing on a hot summer’s day. Should be in every fridge in Boise.
