I drink a variety of different wines but my go-to wines tend to be the Rhône style—reds or whites. This one is absolutely delicious. The Roussanne spent its life in neutral French oak barrels, which allows the wine to impart notes of baked apple pie in front of dried pineapple, gooseberry and lemon. There’s a dab of butter and oak toast on the entry, followed by dried mango, grassiness, lime zest and quinine. Refreshing to drink in the summer, but complex enough and with enough body to enjoy in cooler months.
