At the Wine Shop, we try to carry as many wines from as many countries as we can. So when we tried a line of wines from Lebanon, we really wanted to like them, and as luck would have it, they were wonderful. Lebanon is a country with an ancient wine making culture going back 6000 years. The Hochar family of Chateau Musar planted their first vines in 1930. I especially like their white, which is a blend of Viognier, Vermentino and Chardonnay. Dried mango, apple tart and melon flavors are firm, featuring hints of a nutty richness and bright finish. More complex than your everyday sipper, you definitely need to try this wine.
