This lovely salmon pink wine was just bottled, so it’s not surprising that on first pour the nose is a little backward with just a slight whiff of sulfur. Give the glass a few twirls and let it sit for a moment, the sulfur blows off and the nose opens up revealing aromas of strawberry, mineral and a bit of old world Pinot funk. The palate is round and ripe with ripe citrus, soft berry and crisp apple flavors. The finish is clean and refreshing with lemony acidity making it a great choice for shellfish, lightly dressed spring green salads or simple pastas. When the weather warms up a bit more, it will make a great patio sipper as well.
