I've had Chinons from this producer before, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed, so I was happy to see we had recent-ly received a few more cases. The Cabernet Franc vines that produce the grapes for this wine average over 35 years of age. Though Joguet Chinons can be a bit angular when first bottled, the 2010 has rounded out quite nicely. It offers green olive, herb, and dark cherry on the nose, with a juicy, ripe red cherry palate. More herb, ripe tan-nins and spice come through on the finish. Worth the regular $24 tariff, it’s a real steal at the Member Special price of just $18.99. Buy some before we run out, as I will be recommending this one to everyone.
