Wine and food: two of the greatest pleasures in life! And who better to guide you through this Mediterranean feast than Bryan Hinschberger?
Join us for another delicious and delightful evening where you will have the opportunity to try some of Bryan's favorite dishes paired with some of his favorite wines.
Specific dishes and wines will be posted soon!
"Bon Vivant Imports is a national importer of family estate wines from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Slovenia, based here in Boise, Idaho. After 10 years of working with incredible wineries overseas, we have a portfolio of wines that are made with minimal intervention, using eco-conscious practices (whether certified in something or not), have love and soul in each bottle, and showcase the native varietals of the land that they come from. As our name suggests, we are Bon Vivants: lovers of food, wine, travel… and all of it becomes so much more special when sharing with great people. So let’s have a class about how to do it right.
My background started in the kitchen where I have managed, head-chef’d, and started my own restaurant with my father. I’m not some NYC Top Chef… but I sure do like to cook. This class will be a blast, we'll talk about food and wine both separately, and together, and how to enjoy it all!" - Bryan
Mike's passion for cooking took him to Thailand where he learned the art of blending fresh herbs and spices with coconut milk to create delectable curries. Mike’s Organic Curry Love was born out of a desire to raise the bar for prepared curries so busy people could enjoy a meal that is not just delicious and authentic, but also healthy.
As an artisan food manufacturer, Wildtime Foods makes unique, quality gourmet granolas, trail mixes and raw grain cereals with a focus on producing WHOLE foods with exceptional taste and quality. You won’t find genetically modified ingredients (GMOs), preservatives, processed sugars or grains, added salt, Trans fats, animal products, artificial color, or hydrogenated oils in the foods we make. What you will find are locally or regionally grown organic and natural ingredients, whenever possible, and a commitment to delivering a fresh, healthy, delicious product each and every time. We choose our raw materials very carefully and are personally familiar with many of the farmers who grow the grains, nuts, and fruits that go into our mixes.
It is our mission to be a leader in the support of local agriculture and sustainable business practices, and to provide a pleasant, nurturing work environment for our dedicated employees.
School is in session, and the kids are HUNGRY! Instead of handing them crackers or a sugary granola bar, give them something homemade that’s yummy and nutrient-dense. We’ll make No-Bake Grain-Free Energy Bites (with nuts) and Mexican Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding. Both recipes are grain-free and dairy-free. This will be a hands-on class where the kids will be doing the cooking, guided in small groups by our instructor, Kendy Radasky.
Adults are free with paid kid’s registration. Each child requires a purchased ticket.
Kendy's classes all include a focus on how to cook and eat well with kids who have food sensitivities. Most recipes are gluten-free and dairy-free, and some are also egg-free, nut-free, and/or grain-free. Ongoing, monthly series at the Co-op.
