Boise Co-op supports community events with donations in the form of gift cards. These can be used as prizes, silent auction items or to purchase food for the event. We do not donate food or deli items. Requests must be made at least 4 weeks prior to the date needed.
Our decisions are based on a group’s alignment with the Boise Co-op’s Core Values, the number of people who will benefit, as well as the funds available in our donation program’s budget at the time a request is received. We give preference to organizations and events whose mission relates to cooperatives, environmental sustainability, food, or agriculture. In addition, we give preference to other organizations and events that serve or benefit communities served by our co-ops. Non-profit (501c3) status is preferred but not required.
Donation Request Guidelines
Please submit donation requests at least 4 weeks in advance of your event. Due to the high volume of requests we only process donations once or twice per month, and we are not able to honor all requests.
Boise Co-op is focused on supporting work directly in the community rather than national organizations.
If your organization has several committees working on one event, we ask that you consolidate your requests.
With donation requests arriving almost daily, Boise Co-op will generally give smaller donations to help as many people.
Most donations are usually in the form of gift cards. We do not give cash donations.
We support established organizations rather than individuals or scholarships.
