Have you heard the news? Collagen is the latest and greatest way to care for your body inside and out!
Join us for this informative hour with Cathy Smith from the Boise Co-op and learn about collagen which is the most abundant protein in our bodies, especially type 1 collagen. It’s found in our muscles, bones, skin, blood vessels, digestive system and tendons. It’s what helps give our skin strength and elasticity, along with replacing dead skin cells. When it comes to our joints and tendons, in simplest terms, it’s the “glue” that helps hold the body together. A few of the other benefits include gut health, immune support and hair growth. There are 16 types found in the human body, we will focus on types 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10.
Cathy will also share with you some simple and tasty ways to incorporate collagen into your life everyday!
This workshop is complimentary but please let us know if you are planning to attend.
This class is inspired by "Sadhya" served during the festival of Onam celebrated in Kerala. Onam Sadhya, which in Malayalam means 'banquet' is a sensational multi-course vegetarian meal that features over 24 dishes on a banana leaf. The main center of the dish is plain rice, which is served with variety of side accompaniments. For this class Sangeeta will demonstrate how to make some of her favorite sides that can be enjoyed with rice.

When it comes to celebrations, nothing makes the occasion as special as the real deal—Champagne—perhaps the world’s most famous wine.
Join Divit Cardoza as he shares his deep knowledge of this historic region. Champagne, the wine, is named after the region where it is grown, fermented and bottled: Champagne, France. Nestled in the country’s northeastern corner, near Paris, the only labels that are legally allowed to bare the name “Champagne” are bottled within 100 miles of this region (according to European Law). In addition to location, Champagne also receives its distinguished name because of the grapes used to produce it. Grown in a mild climate with chalky and mineral rich soil, the flavor of these grapes is truly unique.
This tasting will include appetizers and desserts from the Co-op Kitchen.
This is one of our most popular tastings and sells out quickly, make your reservations early!
