WINE CLASS: New World Vs. Old World Styles

What does Old World Wine mean? Find out the differences between New World and Old World wine and how wine making practices combined with regional climate and terroir greatly affect the taste of wine. Have you ever wondered what the difference is between Pinot Noir and Burgundy? Between Cabernet and Bordeaux? Join Leil Cardoza for this class on comparison between the wines of the Old World and the New.

Leil Cardoza started his wine career in 2004 at an Italian wine bar on the corner of Rivington and Ludlow on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. He quickly found that his performer’s instincts, coupled with his passion for wine made him a natural wine salesman. In 2007, he returned to Boise, taking a position at the Co-op wine shop and continuing his wine studies. Since then, he has become a Certified Wine Specialist, and Sommelier. His most heartfelt goal in his work is to demystify wine, and to share his passion for wine with as many people as possible.

This class will include small bites provided by the Boise Co-op kitchen.
