April 22nd is Earth Day, so we're featuring selections from a winery that takes sustainability and environmental consciousness to a new level. Chateau Maris is creating something of a revolution in the typically conservative Languedoc region of France. English ex-pat Bernie Eden has led the charge toward organic and biodynamic farming. The winery, constructed of hemp blocks, is beyond green, requiring no heating or cooling. But none of that would matter if the wines didn’t measure up. They do! Here's what we'll be pouring:
- Old School Red, White & Rosé
- Natural Selection Syrah-Grenache
- Le Carignan de Maris
- Chateau Maris La Touge
- Maris Pinot Noir (in 250 ml. cans!)
It's your chance to try before you buy. And to mark earth week, we're sweetening the deal. You'll save 15% off the regular price on all seven wines from April 19 to April 25.
