At the Tasting Counter in the North End Main Store
After blowing our spending budgets for the Holidays, there’s no reason why we can’t still drink good wine without spending a lot. Here are a few that we just brought in:
2017 Maison Les Alexandrins Syrah, $8.99
Both fruity and ample, with aromas of red fruit (blackcurrant, strawberry, blackberry) with a round and fresh attack on the palate. All in balance, the tannins are perfectly melted and offers a beautiful finish with notes of ripe fruit and spices.
2016 Maison Les Alexandrins Cotes Du Rhone, $9.99
Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah, this Côtes-du-Rhône is par excellence. Fruity and fleshy, with beautiful tannins, it is the great wine for everyday enjoyment.
2015 Mas De Boislauzon Cotes Du Rhone Village, $13.99
This is an outstanding Côtes-du-Rhône Villages that shows very dark red/black color with lovely aromas of lush blackberry and red currant with dark chocolate, citrus and spice. The palate is ripe and dense with round, lush berry fruits, earthiness and mineral flavors backed with firm citrusy acids.
2017 Gassac Guilhem Blanc, $9.99
A bright, lively wine with crisp acidity, and powerful, fruity aromatics. Medium bodied with flavors of apple, pear and a touch of minerality.
