Weekend Wine Tasting @ the North End Boise Co-op Wine Shop

In 1993, Shari and Dean Derby planted the first grapes at Spring Valley, but the family farming history dates back to the 1880s when Shari's grandfather, Uriah Corkrum first settled in Washington. Uriah experienced success, but lost everything in the first great depression of 1893. He persevered, and by 1910 was able to acquire the Spring Valley property. Spring Valley Vineyard is a family affair, and until his untimely death in 2004, the Derby's son Devin served as winemaker. Today, Devin's friend and assistant, Serge Laville, continues the Spring Valley legacy, still crafting top quality, award winning wines. Our friends from Idaho Wine Merchant will be in house with a quintet of these exceptional wines. Here's the line-up:

  • Uriah Red Blend
  • Mule Skinner Merlot
  • Katherine Cabernet Franc
  • Derby Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Nina Lee Syrah

April 6 is the Co-op's big First Friday Sale, but all five wines will be 15% off both days of the tasting.
